At Chance Art,
beautiful art tells a story.

Through my illustrative lens, I fuse realism and storytelling, creating spaces that beckon you to linger, connect, and envision worlds beyond the image.

Inspired by my daughter to tell the story of our journey, I became an author and illustrator.

I currently have three children's picture books available:
C is for China,  Ewela's Baaad Day! and now a new release, Captain Little and The Great Toy Store Rescue

I've also created illustrations for an English Language Learners reading project, for short stories that accompany a Young Adult trilogy based on Celtic mythology, and an early chapter book that follows the adventure of Captain Little and her crew as she sets out to save a beloved toy store.
I am also a member of the
Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

Captain Little and the Great Toy Store Rescue

Captain Little, a little sailor mouse, is working on her small sailboat one day when a crow lands on a branch above her to ask if she had heard the latest news from the town of Olympia: the town’s toy store had closed! Captain Little quickly comes up with a rescue plan to save Olympia’s long-loved toy store. With the help of two brave fellow mice and guided overhead by the imaginative (and often distracted) crow, Captain Little sails to Olympia, overcoming perils and obstacles along the way. But reaching Olympia is the easy part. How can three little mice open a big toy store?

"Robyn Chance is a truly gifted illustrator."
Kristin Hannah, bestselling author

"Although 'C is for China' is a picture book, the instructive text gives readers of all ages a deeper understanding of the values and traditions unique to China. Ms. Chance's exquisite attention to detail in her artwork helps to capture the self-discipline of the Chinese culture."
 Mary Mathis; Middle School Teacher-Librarian

Ewela's Baaad Day!

Ewela is a black sheep with big dreams. She longs to see her name in lights, and to be someone special. But the other sheep find her ideas baa-fling, and maybe even a little silly.

So Ewela leaves the farm in search of her dreams.
But the great wide world is not all Ewela expected, and in the end, she discovers that you don't need stage lights to shine. Sometimes dreams can come true right in your own back yard.

"What a truly delightful story! After reading C is for China, I wanted to see more of Robyn's magical illustrations and Ewela provided the perfect opportunity. My daughter is an elementary school teacher and I will recommend this sweet read to her; I believe it would be a perfect message for her 4th graders. I highly reccomend this story for every child who dreams to be someone different from what others expect!"

Tonia Ferguson

"This a sweet story. The illustrations are beautifully detailed and imaginative. I think this would be a wonderful book for children to have in their collection. Its a nice story about learning to appreciate what you have, who you are and the ones that love you"
